ResQLink AIS Personal Locator Beacon$515.95
The all new ACR ResQLink AIS Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is the most technologically advanced beacon in the world as it contains both satellite and local transponders. With the introduction of Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality, Return Link Service (RLS) technology, and Near Field Communication (NFC) capability in one 406 MHz beacon, the ResQLink AIS represents a critical advancement in the evolution of PLB technology.
Designed solely for marine use, the combination of 406 MHz and AIS distress messaging pairs both global and local rescue into one beacon for the first time, extending access to the Coast Guard and Search and Rescue as well as commercial and recreational boats in the area. Alerting local AIS equipped boats in your vicinity allows for additional vessels to respond directly to the digital mayday with your precise location.
In addition, NFC capability provides users with the world’s first smartphone connected Personal Locator Beacon, the new Return Link Service feature provides users with the peace of mind knowing that their distress message has been received and their location detected by Coast Guard.
The ACR ResQFlare is a high-intensity LED Electronic Distress Boat Flare Kit. Combined with the included distress flag, the ResQFlare and flag are certified to meet the applicable U.S. Coast Guard requirements allowing them to be carried in lieu of traditional boating pyrotechnic flares on most recreational boats. As a convenient alternative to boat pyro flares or boat flare guns, the ResQFlare provides 360° visibility for over 6 miles and its efficient design allows for substantial operational life (+20 Hour burn time), drastically increasing your chances of survival and rescue.
NOTE: The ResQFlare (model: LNK-ERS1) is listed on the U.S. Coast Guard website as ACR ResQFlare (Model LNK-ERS1). The world’s smallest personal locating AIS Man Overboard Beacon (MOB) with integrated DSC. The Ocean Signal MOB1 AIS Beacon communicates with the vessel you have been separated from and other marine traffic in the vicinity (up to 5 miles range dependent on conditions). The best chance of rapid rescue if you fall overboard comes from your own vessel. Your crew needs to be immediately aware of the incident and keep track of your position whilst recovery is carried out. Even in the most moderate of seas, it is alarming how quickly a visual sighting of a man overboard can be lost.
The HydroFix™ Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) is a patented rod system that allows a beacon to be quickly and reliably released from a Category I bracket when submerged in water between 1.5-4 meters (4.9-13.1 feet). This unit is designed to work with the Sea Shelter™, Sea Shelter™2, Sea Shelter™3, and Sea Shelter™4 beacon brackets.
SM-3 SOLAS Lifebuoy Marker Light$139.95
The SM-3 SOLAS approved lifebuoy marker light is a high intensity LED strobe which provides 360° visibility for approximately 2 miles. This compact yet durable marker light facilitates rescue by automatically activating and beginning to strobe when in the water, working for over 40 hours at 30oC (86oF) or over 24 hours at -1oC (30oF). Perfect for commercial marine, petro-marine, cruisers, and any other application needing a reliable Crew Overboard Marker (COB) light, the SM-3 floats upright in all conditions, ensuring it will keep shining when you need it the most.
The AISLink CA2 Automatic Identification System (AIS) Transponder is a fully compliant Class A transceiver designed to complement the existing range of automatic identification systems ais maritime safety equipment from ACR Electronics. This compact, single-unit solution is capable of exchanging dynamic and static ship data with marine traffic-utilizing other AIS equipment. Real-time marine traffic information is continuously interpreted using a powerful internal processing engine and displayed on a 7” full-color, rapid-response LCD. The coastline map view and radar view have various orientation display options allowing for user preference whilst a standard target list display gives immediate detailed listings of nearby vessels which can be sorted to the owner’s desire.
ACR OLAS Float-On
The ACR OLAS Float-On is a buoyant Wearable Crew Tracker that integrates OLAS (Overboard Location Alert System) technology with an LED flashlight and water-activated strobe. The ACR OLAS mobile application technology detects a break in its ‘virtual tether’ to the ACR OLAS Float-On within 8 seconds of a transmitter going missing. The mobile phone(s) then sounds an alarm and records the latitude and longitude of the incident using the phone or tablet’s GPS. ACR OLAS then aids the crew with the MOB recovery, clearly directing them to the GPS location where the MOB occurred with clear visual signals and bearing data. ACR OLAS stores all location data and time of incident required by the rescue services. As an extra safety feature, in addition to the audible alarm on the mobile device, the strobe light automatically activates once the transmitter’s integrated water sensors detect six seconds of water connection. The high-power strobe flashes once every second for up to 20 hours, is visible up to 3 nautical miles away and provides an important additional safety tool for low light rescues.
ACR OLAS GUARDIAN$249.95
The ACR OLAS Guardian is a small wireless engine kill switch that acts within two seconds of a person going overboard. It has the dual function of also acting as an instant Man Overboard (MOB) Alarm system. OLAS GUARDIAN offers powerboat, motorboat, and RIB drivers the security of knowing that their boat will stop in an instant, should the skipper or crew get separated from the boat, reducing the chances of a serious accident from a loose, unmanned, uncontrolled vessel. They are free to move around their boat without constantly having to remember to attach, detach, and re-attach a physically wired kill cord. The GUARDIAN provides coverage for vessels up to 50 feet and is scalable via the use of the OLAS EXTENDER. Up to 2 OLAS EXTEDNERS can be used to cover vessels up to 100ft.
NOTE: As of April 1, 2021, the U.S. Coast Guard implemented a new law passed by Congress requiring the use of engine cut-off switches (ECOS) and the associated engine cut-off switch link (ECOSL) on recreational vessels. The law is relevant to all federally navigable waterways and specifically applies to recreational vessels with the following characteristics:
- Vessels less than 26 feet in length
- Vessels with an engine capable of 115 lbs. static thrust (approximately 2-3 hp)
- Vessels built in January 2020 or later
Exemptions to the Engine Shut Off System law are as follows:
- The law is not applicable to law enforcement or other government-owned vessels
- There is no requirement to wear the Engine Shut Off System link if either the main helm is installed within an enclosed cabin or if the vessel does not have an ECOS and is not required to have one
- The Engine Shut Off System link does not need to be attached/active when the vessel is operating at less than displacement speed (ie. the vessel isn’t operating on plane). This applies to common activities such as idling, docking/trailering, trolling, and operating in no-wake zones.
ACR OLAS TAG$69.99 – $199.99
The ACR OLAS Tag is a Wearable Crew Tracker that integrates OLAS (Overboard Location Alert System) technology. The ACR OLAS mobile application technology detects a break in its ‘virtual tether’ to the tag within 8 seconds of a Tag going missing. Activate Solo mode on the app (2G phone signal required) when boating alone and the OLAS app will automatically text message (SMS) your emergency contact with your GPS coordinates in the event you get separated from your boat.
Users can track up to 6 different OLAS Transmitters with 1 phone/tablet and each OLAS Transmitter can be tracked by an unlimited number of phones/tablets. If you want to track more OLAS Transmitters, add the ACR CORE base station or Guardian Engine Kill Switch and scale your system to monitor up to 15 OLAS Transmitters.
