While the 406Link service will no longer be available for purchase, please take a chance to take a look at the ACR Bivy Stick Satellite Communicator which not only provides the ability to send confirmation messages similar to the 406Link service, but also allows for 2-way messaging among numerous other benefits.
Please note that a 406Link Subscription is an optional service and is not required in order for your beacon to function as intended. Regardless if a subscription is connected to your beacon, the beacon will still transmit your distress message and Search and Rescue will be able to identify your location.
