What happened?

Kerry Hired a PLB through Taupo PLB Hire Charity (run by the local Freemasons Lodge) , and picked it up from Hunting and Fishing in Taupo, New Zealand. Kerry was given a run don on how to use the unit (was even given a personal address to drop it off to after hours if needed). Kerry and His wife set off into the Kaweka Range. They where a long way from anywhere when his wife slipped and broke her ankle badly. They set the PLB off and within 1/2 an hour was picked up my helicopter and taken to Hastings hospital.

Words of wisdom

Take a PLB with you into the hills. It’s easy and they WORK!

Thank you note

Thank you ACR. Our hire service only uses your brand and have many units. Though, this is the first one that has been used to save a life.
