What happened?

We were flying an aircraft from Aniak, AK to Soldotna, AK. We were in the cruise portion of our flight at 11,500 ft and we lost our engine power. We started flying towards the nearest airport but it was 22 minutes away. We were able to find a nice portion of the Holitna River that was still frozen over. We made a successful landing with no injuries or damage to the aircraft. We pulled out our ACR ResQfix and turned it on. Within 4 hrs the National Guard was on site and we were headed home!
