Return Material Authorization

ACR Electronics, Inc. (ACR) offers material and workmanship warranty coverage to our customers for most ACR products. We have an onsite repair facility that provides services on select ACR and ARTEX brand items. In order to initiate a warranty or service request, utilize the link below to download the RMA Request Form.

ARTEX

ARTEX Hazardous Shipping Information

Regulation US 49 CFR considers the ARTEX Lithium products as NON-HAZARDOUS
IATA considers the ARTEX Lithium products as Class 9 dangerous goods (HAZARDOUS)

Considering (49 CFR) and International (IATA) regulations, all Lithium batteries and products containing Lithium batteries with a final destination outside of the United States will be shipped as Class 9 dangerous goods (hazardous) and therefore are subject to a “Hazardous Material Charge”.

Individual carriers may have different restrictions regarding different countries. The customers are advised to inquire about any restrictions before choosing a carrier to transport these products and consult with the carriers as to any hazardous material cost charges that will apply to shipments.

STC for ELT Installations

A Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) is a document issued by the Federal Aviation Administration approving a product (aircraft, engine, or propeller) modification. The STC defines the product design change, states how the modification affects the existing type design, and lists serial number effectivity. It also identifies the certification basis listing specific regulatory compliance for the design change. Information contained in the certification basis is helpful for those applicants proposing subsequent product modifications and evaluating certification basis compatibility with other STC modifications.

ARTEX does not hold any STC’s for any ELT installation or aircraft type. Artex recommends contacting the aircraft manufacturer for information regarding STC’s.

At ACR Electronics, we have a fully approved FAR 145 repair center located at our headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

ACR Electronics, Inc. maintains a certified FAA Part 145 Repair Station. We repair ARTEX-manufactured C126 ELTs. ARTEX also has repair stations located throughout the world. All repairs beyond the approved maintenance procedures as per the ARTEX Operation, Installation and Maintenance Manuals are mandated by the FAA to be performed only by ARTEX or a repair station certified by ARTEX.

Special Instructions for Repair and Return Products:
Customers wishing to have ARTEX products repaired must complete our Return Material Authorization Form below and submit a printed copy along with your product. Repair orders must list ACR Electronics as the vendor.

CAPABILITIES
ARTEX has the capability of repairing our own TSO C126 beacons. TSO C91 beacons are no longer repairable. Please contact our sales department for alternatives to upgrade.
