What happened?

We went spear fishing 13 miles off shore from Virginia Beach. the day started off fine but due to mechanical failure and increasingly larger waves, the boat took on water and quickly capsized. I was able to grab the ResQLink 400 Personal Locator Beacon before jumping overboard.
