Que s'est-il passé?

While hunting on a ballot block during the red stag roar I fell down the side of a mountain while traversing a steep track. Thankfully i was stopped from a more severe drop by a tree, however i was left unable to move and was experiencing extreme pain in my back. The accident occurred at 2 pm. I activated my locator beacon and waited for help to arrive hoping that it had worked. It was getting dark and i thought that i was in for a night in the open.

At 6pm the rescue helicopters arrived and flew me to Queenstown hospital.

I had sustained back injuries and torn ligaments in my elbow. I spent the following 3 -6 months recovering from these injuries.

I’m going back this year and hope to keep both feet firmly on the ground.
