Que s'est-il passé?

Helicopter Rescue in Big Gun Pass. We were 6 days into a 10 day walk in the Du Cane Range, Tasmania, Australia. While climbing up Big Gun Pass a falling rock hit the ankle of one of our party. She was unable to put any weight on the ankle (the x-ray revealed it was broken in 2 places).

We activated our ACR ResQLink PLB and the helicopter arrived in less than 2 hours. It was a thankful reliefs as we were at least one and half days walking over pretty rough terrain from any help. On the steep slope and no track even getting the patient to somewhere flat to erect a tent would have been a daunting task.
