Que s'est-il passé?
My wife and I were trekking the central Australian desert. While getting to the summit of the 1200m high Brinkley’s Bluff, I lost my balance on some rocks, and fell backwards.
This caused a severe laceration to my head and a concussion.
My wife and some good Samaritans stemmed the bleeding and activated our ACR ResQlink PLB,
Within 90 minutes a rescue chopper with a paramedic aboard had arrived and flew me to the hospital, where I was stapled up and successfully recovered.
mots de sagesse
Always carry an ACR PLB when trekking, even for the short day walks, because things can go wrong very quickly, and in the most inconvenient of places!
merci note
Thank you ACR team without your amazing technology I’m not sure I would be sitting here so well today. Keep up the great work.
