On a crisp morning in northeast Victoria, a 58-year-old motorcyclist set out solo aboard his 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200, navigating the scenic backroads of the Nariel Valley. Guided by satellite navigation, he was unexpectedly diverted from his planned route onto a rugged, unmaintained 4WD track, a path far beyond the capabilities of his adventure bike.<\/span><\/p>\n

The track twisted through steep inclines and sharp descents, punctuated by two creek crossings and loose, uneven terrain. As the rider pressed on, traction became increasingly difficult. On one particularly steep ascent, the motorcycle lost grip and crashed, leaving the rider stranded and unable to ride the heavy machine on the incline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alone, without mobile coverage, and deep in remote bushland, the rider quickly assessed his situation. Recognizing the severity of his predicament and the impossibility of self-rescue, he activated his ACR PLB-435. Within moments, the beacon transmitted his location to emergency services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the PLB\u2019s signal, rescue teams were able to locate and extract the rider safely from the remote track. The beacon\u2019s reliability and precision were instrumental in ensuring a swift and successful rescue.<\/span><\/p>\n
