The G406-4 has been tested to meet the rigorous requirements of TSO C126 including 500 G shock, 1000 pound crush as well as flame and vibration tests. The G406-4 is available for use with Artex’s low cost whip antennas or a sturdy fiberglass rod antenna. The G406-4\u00a0may be interfaced with the optional Artex ELT\/NAV Interface\u00a0enabling latitude and longitude data to be transmitted as part of the 406 MHz message.<\/p>\n

ARTEX ELTs are the choice of general aviation aircraft including Cessna, Piper, Cirrus, Beechcraft, Diamond, and Quest.<\/p>\n

Designed with the aviation market in mind, the Artex G406-4 emergency locator transmitter (ELT) communicates on all 3 emergency frequencies (121.5, 243.0 and 406 MHz). The G406-4 ELT automatically activates during a crash, and transmits a 406 MHz digital message to a worldwide network of search and rescue satellites, helps local first responders to quickly and accurately identify not only where you are, but who you are as well.<\/p>\n
