    What happened?

I was driving on a forest road in Sequoia National Forest when I decided to pull over to the side of the road to take some photos.  Unfortunately I did not see that there was a drainage ditch on the shoulder and by the time I had one of my wheels was off the ground.  I tried to reverse but the weight of the jeep shifted and I rolled over into the ditch.

Luckily I did not suffer any serious injuries.  I had made some attempts at self recovery using the winch but the jeep was wedged into position and the winch line snapped.  All of this happening just 2 days into what was meant to be a 2 week vacation.  Having exhausted all other options and being 30-40 miles away from cell service so I had to activate my AquaLink View Personal Locator Beacon to get help. The beacon did it's job flawlessly and help arrived soon after.  I will never forget the relief I felt when the Sheriff Deputies arrived.  I am really upset about losing my jeep but the important thing was that I got home alive and safe.

Its digital display provides all the important information about the beacon's functions, including GPS positioning and transmission bursts. Plus, its buoyant design means that if the AquaLink View accidentally falls overboard, it'll float. Have peace of mind knowing that if a boat emergency should occur, this personal emergency beacon will quickly relay your position to satellite networks, and reduce search and rescue time.
