    What happened?

While kayaking, I lost my way in the solent and from Lymington ended up over the other side near Yarmouth due to a very strong tide. I managed to get into the harbour gather my thoughts and set a new course for lymington.

After about 1 hour of paddling I realised I wasn't getting anywhere so decided to go back to Yarmouth but the tide was so strong I couldn't get back in and I knew then I was in trouble. I did not panic and thought of a plan of action. Knowing I had my ResQLink+ PLB kept me calm so when I decided that I was in real trouble I activated the PLB. I also got on the radio to the coastguard who launched the Yarmouth lifeboat. She picked me and my kayak up and took me back into Lymington where I loaded up and drove home thinking all the time what an experience I had.  Although I was disorientated and lost, with the knowledge of having a PLB I remained calm. This piece of survival kit is vital for anyone who is doing an activity and is truly a life saver.  Many Many thanks to ResQLink+.

    Words of Wisdom

Do not consider not having one of these. I am sure shops will offer a payment plan if budget is tight. but please this is truly a life saver. As for me and many others it has been proven essential.

    Thank you note to ACR

Kept me safe and sound thanks to this rescue device. It does what it says on the packet and since my rescue 3 of my kayak buddies have purchased the same one. I am experienced in a knack but not experienced with Mother Nature. Thanks guys.
