Etter det omtrent 10 dager lange oppdraget vil mannskapet gjennomg\u00e5 den h\u00f8yhastighets, h\u00f8ytemperaturreturen gjennom atmosf\u00e6ren v\u00e5r f\u00f8r de lander i Stillehavet utenfor kysten av San Diego, hvor de vil bli m\u00f8tt av et bergingsteam best\u00e5ende av NASA- og forsvarsdepartementspersonell som vil bringe dem tilbake til land.
