L’Artex C406-N HM est une radiobalise de rep\u00e9rage d’urgence ( ELT ) \u00e0 sortie unique qui contient les informations de latitude et de longitude du syst\u00e8me de navigation de l’avion. Conform\u00e9ment au protocole de messages longs, l’\u00e9metteur de 406 MHz s’active et transmet un message num\u00e9rique cod\u00e9 au syst\u00e8me satellitaire Cospas\/Sarsat toutes les 50 secondes pendant 520 millisecondes.
