The region is known for loose rock. I unintentionally pulled a large loose block off while climbing and took a large fall, injuring my head\/neck and lower extremities. Due to my condition and our location on a remote rock climb, we were unable to self-evacuate. We activated the beacon. Initial attempts to pinpoint location of the beacon signal took longer than anticipated, so rescue was not possible on the day of the incident, and we spent the night on the ridge.
