Cell phone reception was sketchy and we couldn&#8217;t get continuous service with 911. &nbsp;I turned on my PLB. &nbsp;When we could finally get a strong enough signal. SAR informed us that they had gotten our coordinates from the coast guard because of the PLB and that a helicopter was on the way. &nbsp;It arrived 10 minutes later. &nbsp;Vanessa was taken to hospital and released 7 hours later with 2 broken wrists and 21 stitches across her face. &nbsp;It would have been impossible for her to hike or us to carry her out.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;We were hiking on main trail on a little known side trail that followed a stream up through 7 waterfalls. on the 4th waterfall Vanessa Slipped and tumbled down the face of a 60 foot waterfall landing unconscious in shallow pool.
