FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - ACR Electronics, Inc.,
manufacturer of the ACR and Artex brands of safety and survival
products, today announced that its Fort Lauderdale facility has
successfully achieved AS9100: Rev C implementation and
certification. This is an upgrade from their ISO 9001:2008 registry
and still includes the same requirements.

which includes our Quality Management System (QMS), ensures that we

importantly the nature of our products require it. Our
products must work the first time, every time to ensure that their
emergency signal is transmitted to Search and Rescue, through
continuous improvement and monitoring our quality objectives we
produce quality life saving products."
Developed specifically for the aviation, space and defense
industries, the AS9100 standard was established by the
International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) for the purpose of
achieving significant industry improvements in quality, safety, and
customer service, as well as reductions in cost throughout the
value stream. AS9100 is globally recognized and incorporates best
practices from across the aerospace and defense industry. The
latest revision of AS9100, known as Rev. C, places additional
emphasis on risk management and mitigation, stresses supply chain
management controls, and assigns greater focus on planning and
project management, which are all designed to ensure a higher level
of customer satisfaction and quality.
The registration was granted by TUV USA, which offers ANSI-RAB
accredited certification to AS9100. Ken Stachurski, Director
of Quality at ARTEX, ACR Electronics, Inc. explained, "Our AS9100
certification validates that our QMS defines and manages processes
that meet critical-to-quality industry requirements as affirmed by
a global third-party registrar. With these policies and practices
in place we can assure our customers world-class quality and
